Privacy Policy
Effective November 2, 2026
How Nouview collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information.
Nouview Apps is the trade name used by Jung Wei Hung, the operator and controller of the Nouview mobile applications, website, emails, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). In this Privacy Policy, "Nouview," "we," "us," and "our" refer to that operator.
Nouview is a social and informational service for sharing and discovering relocation experiences. Where required, Nouview provides a separate notice and requests consent or device permission before accessing the relevant data or device feature. This Policy explains Nouview's general privacy practices and does not itself constitute that consent or permission.
In this Policy, an "explorer" is a user who asks about a city, and a "guide" is a user who offers to answer questions about a city they know (earlier versions of the Service called guides "Mobility Strategists").
1. Scope and controller
For purposes of privacy laws that use the terms controller or business, Nouview is the controller or business for the processing described in this policy. Verified privacy and data-rights requests may be submitted through the methods in Sections 11 and 12.
In this Policy, "user content" means profile information, photographs, messages, recommendations, reports, and other material a user submits through the Service.
This Policy applies to Nouview's processing through the Service and Nouview-controlled communications. A third party independently determines how it handles information collected through its own product or account; Nouview does not adopt or control that separate processing.
This Privacy Policy is a transparency notice about Nouview's data practices. It does not make Nouview or its owner responsible for User Content, user conduct, third-party conduct, or information a user voluntarily discloses outside Nouview's control; create a warranty of uninterrupted or error-free processing; or create rights, duties, or remedies beyond those required by applicable law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, each user remains responsible for their own content, disclosures, decisions, and conduct. Nothing in this Policy creates rights beyond applicable law or removes any privacy right that applicable law does not allow a person to waive.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Account information, such as your name, email address, account identifier, authentication information, and records of account creation or sign-in. If you use a third-party sign-in option, we receive only the information that provider makes available; we do not receive your third-party password.
- Profile information, which may include profile photos, current city or general location, professional title, company, industry, years of experience, professional summary, career experience, languages, nationality, gender, relocation experience, and other biographical information you choose to provide.
- Relocation preferences, including cities where you want to share experience, cities you want to learn about, relocation themes, discussion topics (including topics you write in your own words), and cities you ask us to tell you about when no guide is available there yet.
- City statements. If you are a guide, what you write about each city you know ("What you can help with in [city]") and the topics you choose for it. If you remove a city, we keep its statement and topics for 30 days so you can add the city back without writing them again; they are not shown to anyone during that time.
- Your move. If you are an explorer and describe the move you are weighing during sign-up or in My Cities, and keep it, we save your words, a short summary, and the places, field, timing, and topics it names. Only you see it. Smart Search starts from it.
- Profile links, such as a link to a LinkedIn profile. Providing a link does not authorize Nouview to access or copy the linked account, and Nouview does not verify that the linked page belongs to the user who submitted it.
- Messages and user content, including message text, reactions, timestamps, sender and recipient identifiers, reports, feedback, support communications, and content you submit through the Service. We also record whether you chose Stay in touch in a conversation.
- Calls. When you start or join a call in the app, we record that a call took place in the conversation, who started it, when, and how long it lasted or that it was missed. This appears as a card in your conversation. Call audio and video are carried in real time through our communications provider and are not recorded or stored by Nouview.
- Recommendations and interactions, including who recommended whom and when, the topics chosen (such as Home Base or City Rhythm), an optional public thank-you note of up to 140 characters, the inquiry the recommendation relates to, whether a guide asked for a recommendation, and related moderation actions such as note reports, hidden notes, or blocks.
- Inquiries, including the guide you ask, the city, themes, and topics you choose, your question, when it was sent, when the guide first replied, and, if you said an answer didn't help and took the inquiry back, when you did. We use these records to decide whether an inquiry counts against your pass; an inquiry counts only when the guide replies within 48 hours.
- Passes and purchases. Passes are bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive a purchase record that includes the pass purchased, its price and currency, the store, a transaction identifier, the purchase date, any refund or cancellation, and whether it was a test purchase. We do not receive your full payment-card number, card security code, or bank-account details. We also record the free trial granted to your account, your remaining inquiries, your pass's end date, and any free extension.
- Thank-you rewards for guides. If explorers recommend you, we record the recommendations that count toward your thank-you, your progress toward the next $20 thank-you, each $20 thank-you counted at a month-end close, the date it must be redeemed by, when you redeemed it, its delivery status or that it expired, and any recommendation removed from the count after a refund. When a thank-you is counted, we record the name and email address on your account so we can deliver it.
- Notification and email choices, such as which emails you have switched off.
- Support and research information that you choose to provide when you ask for help, report an issue, report an AI suggestion, respond to a survey, or participate in product research.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and technical information, such as IP address, device type, operating-system and app version, language, time zone, browser type, mobile carrier, and device or app identifiers used for security, diagnostics, or permitted analytics. If you allow notifications, Apple or Google issues a push-notification token that our messaging provider uses to deliver them.
- Usage and diagnostic information, such as sign-in events, screens viewed, features used, searches or filters applied, recommendations created, message-delivery events, session timing, crashes, errors, performance data, and security logs. We also record the date you last used the app while signed in, which is used to show recently active guides first.
- AI usage records, as described in Section 6A.
- Approximate location, such as country, region, or city inferred from an IP address or a city you enter. The current version does not request precise GPS location from your device.
- Campaign and referral information, such as a Reddit campaign source, referral parameter, a city in a link you opened, app-store campaign identifier, click or installation timestamp, and related conversion events. Nouview does not use message content or profile content for targeted advertising.
- Email delivery information, such as whether an email was delivered, bounced, or marked as spam. If link-click or open measurement is enabled for a particular email, that message will provide any notice required by law.
2.3 Device permissions
If you choose to take or upload a profile photo, Nouview may ask for camera access or access to photos that you select. Nouview may also ask for permission to send push notifications, for example when you receive a message or a reply to an inquiry. You can change device permissions, including notifications, through your iOS or Android settings. Nouview requests a permission only when it is relevant to a feature you choose to use.
With your permission, Nouview uses your device's microphone and camera during calls you start or join. Your camera is off when a call starts, and you choose whether to turn it on. You can withdraw either permission at any time in your device settings, but calls need the microphone to work. If you leave the app during a call, the call may continue in your phone's picture-in-picture window, which shows the other person, never your own camera.
2.4 Information from other sources
We may receive limited information from authentication providers, Apple or Google app services, app stores and our purchase-validation provider (purchase, refund, and cancellation records), analytics or crash-reporting providers, campaign-attribution providers, and other users. For example, another user may message you, recommend your profile, or report an interaction involving you.
3. Payment and financial information
Passes are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are processed under those stores' own terms and privacy policies. Nouview receives the purchase records described in Section 2.1 but does not receive or store full payment-card numbers, card security codes, or bank-account details for purchases. Nouview uses a purchase-validation provider to confirm purchases and refunds with the stores.
Nouview doesn't collect bank, card, or tax-identification details to deliver thank-you rewards. When you redeem a reward, our rewards provider and the redemption option you choose (for example PayPal or a gift-card provider) collect what they need, under their own privacy policies.
The current version does not provide identity-verification or background-check features. Nouview does not intentionally collect government identification documents, facial-recognition templates, or other biometric identifiers.
Do not place Social Security numbers, government-identification numbers, financial account information, health information, exact home addresses, or other highly sensitive information in your profile or messages.
4. Profile visibility and user-directed sharing
Your Nouview profile is not private. Information you choose to place on your profile - such as your name, photos, general location, professional information, relocation cities, city statements, topics, summary, languages, and visible recommendations - may be shown to other Nouview users through Explore and related features. Your saved move is not part of your profile and is not shown to others. Nouview does not intentionally publish account profiles for search-engine indexing in the current version.
If you leave a public thank-you note when you recommend a guide, the note, the topics you chose, the month and year, and your first name and last initial are shown on that guide's profile to other users. A guide's number of recommendations and most-recommended topics are also shown. Other users may report a note, and Nouview may hide it. Whether an inquiry came from a free trial or a bought pass is not shown to guides, except that when a recommendation doesn't count toward a guide's thank-you because its question was sent on a free trial, the guide is told so in that conversation.
Guide profiles are checked before they appear in Explore. A guide's first profile is reviewed by a person at Nouview before it appears in Explore. After that, changes to the name, gender, or a new photo are reviewed by a person before they show; a new or changed city statement is checked as described in Section 6A; and other changes, such as the title, company, years of experience, industry, summary, LinkedIn link, languages, and topics in a city already listed, show right away. A city or topic you remove is taken off Explore right away. Nouview may decline a profile or a change, or remove a profile from Explore, and tells you why by email and in the app. Nouview keeps a record of each review decision, including the version of the profile reviewed and any reason given. If you delete your account, the profile content in those records is removed, and what remains is no longer linked to your account.
Your email address, authentication information, and private-message text are not displayed as profile fields. Messages are delivered to their intended recipients. Authorized Nouview personnel and service providers may process messages only when reasonably necessary to deliver the Service, investigate abuse, provide support, secure the Service, or comply with law.
Other users may save, copy, forward, download, republish, or take screenshots of information they can see. Nouview cannot control or recall a recipient's independent use or disclosure after information has been shared at your direction. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you accept that risk when you make profile information visible or send content to another user.
Each user is solely responsible for the personal information they choose to submit and for obtaining any permission required before submitting information about another person. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nouview and its owner do not assume responsibility for a user's or recipient's independent collection, copying, disclosure, misuse, infringement, or other handling of information outside Nouview's reasonable control.
5. How we use information
- Create, authenticate, maintain, and secure accounts.
- Display profiles and relocation preferences to other users.
- Review and check guide profiles, and changes to them, before they appear in Explore, and check photos, topics, and city statements before they are shown to others (Section 6A).
- Provide Explore, inquiry, recommendation, messaging, notification, filtering, reporting, and blocking features, and apply the conversation rules, including Stay in touch.
- Provide AI features: writing help, topic suggestions, Smart Search, and help setting up your profile, unless you've turned AI off (Section 6A).
- Understand which cities and topics people ask about, including where no guide is available yet, so we know where guides are needed and can show what people moving to a city often ask about.
- Provide calls between users, and apply the pass requirements for calls.
- Deliver messages, push notifications you allow, reminders, and emails you haven't switched off.
- Provide passes, including the free trial: track your remaining inquiries and pass end date, apply the 48-hour reply rule, and return an inquiry when an answer didn't help where the Terms allow it.
- Validate purchases with the app stores, handle refunds and cancellations, and prevent purchase fraud.
- Count thank-you rewards for guides under the Terms, and deliver them through our rewards provider.
- Keep purchase, accounting, and tax records required by law.
- Provide customer support and respond to privacy, safety, and legal requests.
- Monitor performance, measure feature use, troubleshoot errors, and improve the Service.
- Measure whether our advertisements or referrals lead to installations, account creation, profile completion, or other permitted conversion events.
- Detect spam, fraud, misuse, harassment, security incidents, and violations of rules governing the Service.
- Moderate reported content, protect users and others, and comply with applicable child-safety obligations.
- Send security, policy, administrative, and legal notices, and record when you accept these policies.
- Comply with law, enforce agreements, resolve disputes, and establish or defend legal claims.
- Create aggregate or deidentified statistics that are not reasonably capable of identifying an individual. We do not attempt to reidentify information that applicable law requires us to keep deidentified.
Nouview does not use profiles or recommendations to make employment, credit, housing, insurance, or other eligibility decisions. The Service does not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing.
6. Emails and the daily message digest
When the daily digest feature is active and an account has recent activity, Nouview may send one daily email summarizing that activity. The digest may include a sender's display name, the most recent length-limited message or excerpt received during the preceding 24 hours, its time, and information for opening or obtaining the iOS or Android application.
Nouview may also send emails about your activity, such as a reminder that a question is waiting for your reply, a note that a question you sent got no reply within 48 hours, or that a city you asked about now has a guide. You can switch each of these, and the digest, off in the app's notification settings. Account, security, review, and reward emails can't be switched off while you have an account.
Message content placed directly in an email may be visible in lock-screen notifications, email previews, forwarded messages, or shared email accounts. Do not send highly sensitive information through Nouview messages. Our email-delivery provider processes the recipient address and email content only as needed to deliver and protect the message and provide delivery records.
Each digest email includes an unsubscribe link. Using it stops future digests without affecting your account. The digest and these emails are limited to service-related summaries of activity in the user's Nouview account and are not used to send advertising or marketing content. If that use changes, Nouview will update this Policy and provide any notice, consent, or opt-out required by applicable law before the change applies.
6A. AI features
Nouview uses artificial intelligence to help you write and to find people:
- Make it clearer suggests a clearer version of something you wrote: a question to a guide, your move, or what you can help with in a city. In the Ask form it also picks the topics your question is about.
- Topic suggestions suggest the topics a guide's statement covers, and check a topic you type before it's added.
- Smart Search finds guides who fit the move you describe.
- Setting up your profile: when you describe your move, or the cities you know, the AI turns your words into a short summary and a city card for each city, for you to check.
On by default, and your choice. These features are on for signed-in members. Each screen that uses AI says so, and nothing is sent until you take an action there (such as Continue or Make it clearer). You can turn AI off at any time: tap Don't use AI on any of those screens, or use Settings › Privacy › AI features. Your choice is saved to your account, so it applies on every device. With AI off, Smart Search and Make it clearer aren't offered, and topics are picked by simple keyword rules on Nouview's own servers, with no AI provider involved.
What is sent. Only what's needed for the action you took:
- Make it clearer: what you wrote and, depending on where you are, the city it's about, and the guide's first name, job title, city, and topics from their public profile;
- Topic suggestions: your statement and its city, or the topic you typed;
- Smart Search: the description you typed, and short summaries of the public profiles listed in Explore (job, company, industry, experience, languages, summary, and the cities and topics they cover with what they wrote about each), without names or account identifiers;
- Setting up your profile: your paragraph and the cities you picked.
Please don't include contact details or sensitive information, such as health, financial, or immigration details, in text you write for an AI feature.
Who processes it. The AI model is Claude, developed by Anthropic, which Nouview uses through Amazon Bedrock, a service of Amazon Web Services (AWS). Requests are processed in data centers in the United States. Under AWS's terms, your text isn't used to train AI models and isn't shared with Anthropic. AWS may keep request data for a limited time to detect abuse of its service. Nouview has turned off Bedrock's request logging.
What Nouview keeps.
- A suggestion is only shown to you. It becomes part of your profile or question only if you use it and save or send it, and it's then handled like anything else you write in Nouview.
- Your move, if you keep it, as described in Section 2.1. You can edit or remove it in My Cities, and it's deleted with your account.
- A guide's paragraph about their cities isn't saved: only the city statements and topics you keep are saved to your profile.
- What you type into Smart Search is kept on your device, not on our servers.
- Topics in your own words that you add to a question are sent with it, so the guide sees them, and count toward the topic counts below.
- Usage records. For each AI request we keep the feature, when it was used, whether it succeeded, its size and cost, and which profiles Smart Search showed. When a search finds nobody, we also keep the city, field, and topics it understood, so we know where people are needed. We don't keep the text you typed in these records.
- Topic counts. To show what people moving to a city ask about most, we count how often each topic comes up per city in questions, searches, and sign-ups. The counts hold no text and no account details.
Limits and accuracy. AI suggestions can be wrong or incomplete. We check them before you see them: a suggestion that adds a name or number that isn't in your text or the profile isn't shown. Please read a suggestion before you use it. Guides share their own experience, not professional advice.
Reporting a problem. Each AI suggestion has a "Something's wrong?" link. A report sends us what the AI showed and any note you add, so we can review it.
Checks on what's shown to others
To keep Nouview safe, we check what guides show in Explore, and every profile photo:
- Topics and city statements. A new topic or city statement on a listed guide's profile is checked by AI against our rules (nothing illegal, harmful, hateful, sexual, about another private person, advertising, contact details, or spam). If the AI finds it fine, it shows right away. If not, or if it can't check it, a person at Nouview reviews it before it shows. A topic that clearly breaks these rules can't be saved.
- Photos. Every photo you upload is checked by Amazon Rekognition, an AWS service, before it's saved. A photo it finds clearly explicit, violent, disturbing, or hateful is refused, and you're asked to choose another. Photos it finds borderline are saved and reviewed by a person.
- Names, gender, new photos for listed guides, and a guide's first profile are always reviewed by a person.
If you think a check got it wrong, contact us through the in-app reporting control or customer support, and a person will look at it.
7. How we disclose information
- Other users and message recipients. We disclose visible profile information, relocation preferences, recommendation signals, and user-directed content as described in the Service. Messages, and the topics in your own words sent with a question, are disclosed to their intended recipients.
- Service providers. Vendors process information for us for cloud hosting and storage (Amazon Web Services), email delivery (Amazon Simple Email Service), AI processing (Amazon Web Services, through Amazon Bedrock, running Anthropic's Claude model in the United States, which receives only the text described in Section 6A), photo checks (Amazon Rekognition, an Amazon Web Services service), in-app messaging, calls, and push-notification delivery (Stream, which delivers notifications through Apple Push Notification service and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging), purchase validation and purchase records (RevenueCat), delivery of thank-you rewards (Tremendous, LLC, which receives the recipient's name, email address, and reward amount, and may verify identity and screen recipients against sanctions lists under its own privacy policy), authentication, customer support, content moderation, security monitoring, analytics, crash reporting, campaign attribution, and similar operational services. They process information for the purposes described here under applicable agreements and law. Nouview remains responsible for its own obligations that applicable law does not permit it to disclaim.
- App platforms and integrations. Apple, Google, authentication providers, and operators of linked services may collect information directly from you through products or accounts they operate. Nouview does not control that separate collection. Apple and Google also process payment for passes you buy under their own terms and privacy policies. Nouview may receive account identifiers, authentication tokens, installation or campaign information, purchase and refund records, device or technical information, and other information the provider makes available for authentication, distribution, purchases, security, diagnostics, or attribution. Nouview uses information it receives only as described in this Policy.
- Legal and safety purposes. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, investigate fraud or abuse, address child-safety or security incidents, protect rights or safety, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
- Business transactions. Information may be reviewed or transferred in connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law and appropriate notice.
- At your direction. We disclose information when you request or authorize us to do so.
8. Advertising, sale, and sharing
Nouview does not sell personal information for money. At launch, Nouview does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or use personal information to show targeted advertisements inside the Service. Campaign parameters may be processed to measure Nouview's own advertising and referral performance.
If advertising, attribution, sale, or sharing practices materially change, Nouview will update this Policy and provide any notice, consent, or choice required by applicable law before the change applies.
9. Legal bases for international users
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or a similar law applies, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Contract, when processing is reasonably necessary to create your account and provide profiles, messages, recommendations, passes you buy, and other features you request.
- Consent, where required for optional communications, device permissions, cookies, advertising identifiers, or other optional processing. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
- Legitimate interests, such as securing and improving Nouview, preventing abuse, supporting users, understanding product performance, measuring our own campaigns, and thanking helpful guides, after considering your rights and reasonable expectations. We provide AI features on the basis of our legitimate interest in helping members write clearly and find the right people, and you can object at any time by turning AI off (Section 6A); turning it off doesn't affect processing that happened before. We check topics, statements, and photos on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping Nouview safe, and to meet our legal obligations.
- Legal obligations, when processing or retention is required to comply with law, valid legal process, or enforceable requests, including keeping purchase, accounting, tax, and reward records and applying sanctions rules.
- Vital interests, in an emergency when processing is reasonably necessary to protect a person's life or physical safety.
10. Retention
Nouview retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including operating the Service, protecting users and the Service, complying with law, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements. The periods below are current operational targets, not guarantees of storage for a minimum period; information may be deleted sooner or kept longer where reasonably necessary and lawful.
- After a verified account-deletion request, Nouview removes the profile from active display and generally deletes or irreversibly deidentifies associated personal information in active production systems within 30 days, subject to the limited exceptions below.
- Encrypted or access-restricted backup copies generally expire through the normal backup cycle within 90 days and are not returned to ordinary product use if restored for disaster recovery or security needs.
- Routine diagnostic, security, and campaign-attribution records are generally retained for up to 12 months, unless a shorter period is sufficient or a longer period is reasonably necessary for an active investigation, security need, legal hold, or claim.
- Safety, abuse, and moderation records may be retained for up to 24 months, or longer where reasonably necessary and lawful, to prevent repeat abuse, protect users, preserve evidence, or document enforcement.
- Communication-suppression records may be retained where Nouview is legally required to stop a communication or has otherwise recorded a valid communication restriction. Privacy-request records, and records of which version of these policies you accepted and when, may be retained as needed to authenticate requests and demonstrate compliance.
- When an account is deleted, recommendations associated with it are removed or deidentified. Messages are deleted or deidentified in Nouview's active systems unless limited retention is reasonably necessary for a report, legal claim, security matter, or safety investigation. Copies already delivered to another person's email account, device, notifications, screenshots, backups, or records outside Nouview's control cannot be recalled.
- Call cards are kept with the conversation they belong to and are deleted or deidentified with it.
- Your saved move is kept until you change or remove it, or delete your account. A removed city's statement and topics are kept for 30 days. Photo check results aren't stored: we keep only the photo, if it's accepted.
- Purchase records are kept for as long as needed to provide passes, handle refunds and disputes, and meet accounting and tax obligations, generally up to 7 years after the purchase. After account deletion, they are kept only in a form no longer linked to a profile, unless the law requires otherwise.
- Reward records, including the name and email address each thank-you was sent to, are kept for as long as accounting and tax rules require, generally up to 7 years, even after account deletion. Nouview doesn't store redeem links.
- A minimal record of each account deletion (an internal account number, dates, completion status, and any unpaid reward amount) is kept to confirm that the deletion was completed and to meet any reward obligation.
- Nouview may retain limited information for longer when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process; prevent fraud or abuse; protect security, safety, rights, or property; resolve disputes; enforce agreements; or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Retained information is restricted from ordinary product use where reasonably practicable.
11. Account deletion and controls
You can initiate permanent deletion in the app: on the Profile tab, open the menu and choose Delete account, then follow the on-screen steps to confirm the request. Deleting the app from your device does not delete your account. Deleting your account ends any remaining pass and unused inquiries. It does not cancel or refund purchases, which are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their refund policies. Deleting your account also ends your progress toward the next $20 thank-you, and a $20 thank-you you haven't redeemed can't be redeemed afterwards.
You can also pause your account with Deactivate account in the same menu. A deactivated account is hidden from other users and signed out on every device; signing in again reactivates it.
We may take reasonable steps to confirm that a request came from the account holder. Once completed, deletion is permanent. The limited retention described in Section 10 may still apply, but retained records will not be used to continue an active profile.
You can edit or remove available profile fields through profile settings; edit or remove your saved move and your cities in My Cities; turn AI features off in Settings › Privacy › AI features; switch emails off in the app's notification settings; change camera, photo, notification, and similar device permissions through your operating-system settings; and stop daily digests with the unsubscribe link in any digest email, as described in Section 6.
12. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have the right to:
- Know whether and how we process personal information and access a copy of it.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete personal information.
- Receive certain information in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent, object to processing, or restrict certain processing.
- Opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or qualifying profiling if those activities occur.
- Appeal a denied privacy request where applicable.
- Complain to a privacy or data-protection authority.
- Receive equal service and not be discriminated against for exercising a privacy right.
For a privacy request other than account deletion, use the in-app reporting control and identify the report as a privacy request. State the right you want to exercise and provide only the account information needed to locate the relevant records. Do not provide a password, government identification number, financial information, or unrelated sensitive information. Account-deletion requests must use Delete account in the app, as described in Section 11. Nouview may verify control of the account and respond through the Service or an account notice. An authorized agent may act only where permitted by law and after Nouview verifies the authority and the account.
13. California privacy notice
This section applies to California residents to the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, or another California privacy law applies to Nouview. During the preceding 12 months, Nouview has collected the following categories as described more fully above: identifiers; contact and profile information; optional protected-characteristic information such as gender or nationality; internet or electronic activity; approximate location; professional or employment-related information; relocation preferences and related inferences; profile photos, messages, and other electronic content; account-authentication information; and commercial information, such as passes purchased and purchase and refund records.
Nouview collects these categories from users, their devices, other users, authentication providers, app platforms and app stores, and service providers. Nouview uses and discloses them for the purposes and to the recipient categories described in this policy. The current version does not intentionally collect full payment-card or bank-account numbers, government IDs, biometric identity templates, or precise GPS location.
Nouview has not sold personal information or shared it for cross-context behavioral advertising in the preceding 12 months. Nouview does not offer a financial incentive in exchange for personal information and does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 18.
California residents may request access, correction, deletion, and information about collection or disclosure, and may exercise any applicable opt-out or limitation right without discrimination. Where required, we treat a browser-based Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out request for the browser or device sending the signal. Other Do Not Track signals are not standardized, and Nouview does not respond to them unless required by law.
14. EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
If applicable law in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland covers our processing, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests, including AI features (which you can also turn off yourself, Section 6A). You may withdraw consent or object to direct marketing at any time, and you may complain to the data-protection authority where you live or work.
Nouview is operated from the United States, and information may be processed in the United States and other countries where providers operate. When required, we use a legally recognized transfer safeguard.
15. Security
Nouview uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to reduce risks appropriate to the nature and scale of the personal information processed. Depending on the system and risk, measures may include encryption in transit, access controls, restricted provider or personnel access, security logging, and backup controls. No measure is a guarantee against every incident.
No internet transmission, storage system, or security process is completely secure. Nouview does not warrant absolute security, uninterrupted availability, or that every unauthorized act will be prevented or detected. Protect your sign-in method. To report suspected unauthorized access, use the in-app reporting control and identify the report as Account Security. If an incident occurs, Nouview will investigate and provide notices when required by applicable law. Nothing in this paragraph removes a data-security or breach-notification duty that applicable law makes mandatory.
16. Children
Nouview is intended only for people who are at least 18 years old. People under 18 may not create or use an account, and Nouview does not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn that an underage person has provided personal information, we will take reasonable steps to delete the account and associated information. To report suspected underage use, use the in-app reporting control and identify the report as Underage Account.
Nouview is not directed to children under 13. If Nouview later chooses to serve teenagers, we will revise our policies and implement applicable age-assurance, parental-consent, safety, and minor-privacy controls before doing so.
17. Third-party links, policy changes, and policy text
When you open or use a third-party service, its operator may collect or use information independently. Nouview does not control or adopt those practices. A link or integration does not mean Nouview verifies, sponsors, or endorses the third party. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nouview is not responsible for a third party's acts, omissions, content, availability, security, or handling of information.
Nouview may update this Privacy Policy as the Service, vendors, or laws change. Nouview will display the revised Policy within the Service with a new effective date. When a change is material, the app shows what changed and asks you to accept the revised Policy before you continue, and Nouview provides any additional notice or consent required by applicable law before applying a materially different use to previously collected information.
